Would you like to join Politiikasta editorial team?

Are you inspired by science communication? Does engaging in social discussions ignite your passion? Are you interested in creative ideation and bringing ideas to life?

Politiikasta is an online magazine published by the Finnish Political Science Association that aims to make social science research understandable, interesting, and relevant. This autumn, we invite new members to join our editorial team.

Members of the Politiikasta editorial team are typically young researchers, such as doctoral candidates from various universities in the social sciences. Working on the editorial team is voluntary and provides a uniquely visible opportunity to engage in societal interaction as a researcher.

Politiikasta continuously develops new ways to popularise science and collaborates with other scientific media. We need new contributors to expand and evolve while maintaining our capacity for innovation. You can read more about the magazine’s background here.

Would you like to try organising science events? Producing podcasts or creating researcher introduction videos? Developing collaboration networks? Brainstorming series of articles? Translating texts? Building bridges between science and art? Thinking of new ways for science communication to connect with both the research community and broader audiences — or something entirely different?

Tell us what kind of content you would like to produce, your ideas for the future of the online magazine, and what you could bring to the editorial team. Please send an informal application by the end of October (31 October 2024) to toimitus (at) politiikasta.fi.

For more information about the editorial leadership or working on the editorial team, please contact the editor-in-chief Mikko Leino at mikko.leino (at) politiikasta.fi.
